Boulder Asian Festival
Aug. 9-10: Annual two-day celebration showcases more than 50 performers and 70 vendor booths, all with an Asian cultural theme. On the courthouse lawn on Pearl Street Mall. 11am-6pm both days.www.bapaweb.org.
Boulder Jewish Festival

Colorado Dragon Boat Festival
July 19-20: This event used to be just about the dragon boat races, but now it’s a two-day celebration of Asian culture and athletic skill. There are competitive and recreational races, food and vendor booths, kids’ activities, performances of all kinds on five stages, storytellers, demonstrations on such topics as flower arranging and calligraphy, and history exhibits. Colorado Renaissance Festival
Weekends, June 14-Aug. 3: The Renaissance Festival, now in its 38th year, is a blast from the past, with master revelers, comedic performers, skilled artisans, roasted turkey legs, steak on a stake and other delights. In Larkspur, south of Denver (exit 173 off I-25).www.coloradorenaissance.com.
Culture Jam

Scandinavian Midsummer Festival
