Monthly Fusion Partner Dance at Junkyard Social Club
Every second Tuesday, until January 1, 2025

Ignite the dance floor with passion and rhythm at the Junkyard Social Club’s monthly sizzling Fusion Partner Dance Night. We heat up the night as we blend sultry moves, electrifying music and an ambiance that embodies playfulness and sensuality. We’ll start at 6:30pm with a 30-minute class and follow it up with a two-hour social dance. $10 suggested donation for the social dance. Boulder Wednesday Farmers Market
Every Wednesday, until Oct. 2

The Boulder Wednesday market is a local favorite for a mid-week stock-up, post-workday gathering, or a source of fresh inspiration for what to cook that night. Weekly live music, rotating community partners, new producer features and excellent after-work shop and sip vibes. Local beer garden and craft beverage offerings. No pets please. 4–8pm. bcfm.org.

Boulder Saturday Farmers Market
Every Saturday, until Nov. 16

The Boulder Saturday market is a community institution and one of the busiest, most vibrant farmers markets in the region. We are proud to feature a mix of historic (and famous!) producers, new local food businesses and rotating seasonal vendors that offer something for everyone. 8am–2pm. There is also a monthly artisan market every second Saturday of the month. No pets please. bcfm.org.

Louisville Street Faire
Aug. 2 & 9

Front Street comes alive with the magic of friends, family, community and live music. Life is sweet, and the musicians wrap the night with their warm embrace. Opera in the Park 2024: A Royal Affair
Aug. 3

Join us for an enchanting evening under the stars with Boulder Opera’s annual “Opera in the Park” concert. This year, we invite you to delve into the opulent world of royalty through the captivating arias, scenes and choruses from some of the most famous operas. The concert will feature selections from Handel’s Giulio Cesare, Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier, Verdi’s Nabucco and Macbeth and Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Prepare to be swept away by the powerful voices of our talented performers and the evocative themes of power, intrigue and romance. “Sundays on West Pearl” Summer Series
Aug. 4, 11, 18 & 25

This new summer cultural series is sure to enliven downtown with connection, creativity and fun for everyone. Folks can look forward to free art activities, live painting, fresh flower ateliers, performances and much more. Pearl Street Mile
Aug. 5 & Aug. 10

The iconic Pearl Street Mile is a criterium multi-lapped course that starts on Spruce Street (between 13th and 14th streets) and completes 3.75 laps around the Boulder Court House and up the Pearl Street Mall. Following the race, enjoy a lovely evening shopping and dining around the downtown district. Don’t forget to wander off the Pearl Street Mall and explore all the hidden treasures “off the bricks.” Then, the following Thursday (Aug. 10), grab your family and friends and enjoy a FREE outdoor screening of Disney Pixar’s Inside Out in Civic Park (near the Boulder County Public Library) sponsored by Mountain Psychiatry. boulderdowntown.com/events/race-and-a-movie.

The Japanese House with Skullcrusher

It’s been nearly a decade since Bain’s break-out, in 2015, back when The Japanese House was rumoured to be everything from a Matty Healy side project to a mysterious unidentified figure shrouded in mystery and reverb. These days though, Bain’s sound and style is characteristically wide open, her vulnerabilities, thoughts and innermost feelings stitched into a tapestry of gorgeous, elevated pop music. Pearl Street Stampede
Aug. 28 & Sept. 20
The Pearl Street Stampedes have become the kickoff celebration for CU home football games for over a decade. The night before each home game, hundreds of Buffs fans line the Pearl Street Mall as members of the Golden Buffalo Marching Band plays to the crowds’ delight. Members of the CU football team and coaching staff are greeted with cheers and high fives from fans of all ages. The Stampedes are a joint collaboration between the University of Colorado, local businesses, the City of Boulder and Downtown Boulder. Led by Stephen Tebo’s vintage 1948 fire truck, members of the Golden Buffalo Marching Band start performing at 7pm on the 1300 block of Pearl Street (in front of the County Courthouse). The Stampedes moves west, stopping on each block of the Pearl Street Mall to perform. boulderdowntown.com.

CU Buffs Football
Aug. 29 & Sept. 21

Cheer on the Colorado Buffaloes at Folsom Field. The Buffs will be playing North Dakota State and Baylor, respectively. cubuffs.com. 

Buffalo Bicycle Classic
Sept. 8

Join us for the Elevations Credit Union Buffalo Bicycle Classic on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Colorado’s largest scholarship fundraising ride is coming to CU Boulder, and virtually all around the world. Fall Fest
Sept. 13–15

Street Wise Mural Festival
Sept. 13–15

Street Wise Arts’ flagship program explores the intersection of art and activism (ARTivism) while centering womxn, BIPOC, LGBTQIA and emerging artists based in Colorado and beyond. The festival will primarily install public art projects in the neighborhood of East Boulder. In 2024, Street Wise invites artists to create public art projects that address themes of environmentalism and climate change. Ultimately, we hope artists will educate and empower community members to take action and inspire climate optimism. Free. 10am–10pm. streetwisearts.org/festival.

Boulderthon
Sept. 29

Run the annual sell-out series, Boulderthon, Colorado’s largest fall race weekend. The Boulder Marathon series features a world-class 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon. Tucked away in the foothills of the Rockies in the stunning running mecca of Boulder, participants can run the streets Olympians train on, then celebrate at an epic After Party in Downtown Boulder on the Pearl Street Mall.
