Bands on the Bricks    Wednesdays, June 12–Aug. 7
From rock to reggae and everything in between, Bands on the Bricks is Boulder County’s premier outdoor summer concert series taking place in the heart of the city on the bricks of the one-and-only Pearl Street Mall. A not-to-be-missed summer tradition, our 2024 season includes 8 Wednesday nights of free concerts. The Cultural Caravan’s June Festival
June 6–16

IRONMAN 70.3
June 8

June 8–Aug. 11

But what’s done cannot be undone, and his decision sets off a scorching, action-packed descent into darkness. Fates and fantasies collide in Shakespeare’s sexy and spellbinding tragedy. Since 1958, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival has delighted audiences with professional theatre on the CU Boulder campus. Boulder Jewish Festival
June 9

The Boulder Jewish Festival is the longest-running cultural festival in Downtown Boulder. The festival is a one-day celebration of Jewish arts, and culture featuring live entertainment, food, community organizations, and activities for all ages. The festival plays a pivotal role in fostering unity, appreciation, and understanding of Jewish culture. The Festival is celebrating 27 years in Boulder and has an average attendance of 10,000 visitors. Free. 11am–5pm. Pearl Street Mall. boulderjcc.org.

Arts in the Park
June 1, 2 & July 4

The City of Boulder presents Arts in the Park, a program showcasing a vibrant blend of arts and cultural performances. Arts in the Park performances will take place at the Glen Huntington Band Shell in the city’s Civic Area. We’ll showcase local talent as well as performances from the Boulder Ballet, Boulder Symphony, Boulder Opera and Boulder Philharmonic. bouldercolorado.gov.

Objects of Protest: Boulder Speaks! Boulderites have exercised their rights as Americans to speak out for and against a wide variety of issues that have faced us over time. We are pulling some special items donated in recent times as well as those from the earlier days of Boulder to show the freedom of speech in action. $15; Members free. 12–2pm. 

Pretty in Punk: Pride Month Celebration
June 15

Join us for a Pride Month celebration at Pretty in Punk! Unleash your inner punk as you witness fierce and outrageous performances from some of the most seductive and expressive drag and burlesque performance artists around. With a fusion of edgy punk music, stunning storytelling and provocative choreography, Pretty in Punk is the ultimate celebration of boldness, creativity, self-expression and, of course, punk rock. Whether you’re a die-hard punk fan or a lover of all things burlesque and drag, Pretty in Punk promises to be an unforgettable night of entertainment. 18+. 7:30–8:15pm. Junkyard Social Club. Flatiron Sounds Music Festival
June 16

Join us on Sunday from 1-7pm for a free music festival at Chautauqua Park featuring acts Clay Street Unit, Two Runner, Jake Leg, King Cardinal and Alexa Wildish. Juneteenth Liberation Day Celebration with Out Boulder County

Walk360
June 22

Celebrate Walk and Bike Month by walking all the way around Boulder on the 26-mile Walk 360 Slow Marathon. We’ll have plenty of places to stop for breaks and water along the way, and we’ll take a lunch break in South Boulder. Registration is required and is free. walkandbikemonth.org

Boulder Sunrise Triathlon
June 23

Camp & Run 2024: A Weekend of Conservation and Community in Leadville, Colorado
June 21–23

Camp & Run 2024 promises an unforgettable experience filled with engaging discussions led by local experts, hands-on service projects, and opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals. Participants will be able to immerse themselves in the treasured landscapes of Leadville, known for its iconic trail running and rich natural heritage. Boulder Comedy Festival
June 19–23

Boulder Comedy Festival is back! Boulder Comedy Festival highlights women and diversity in comedy. Featuring comics from LA, New York, Boston, Atlanta, Portland, Detroit and the Denver-Boulder area, Boulder Comedy Festival brings together nationally touring headliners and guests from Late Night, alongside local comics, creating a sea of hilarity in the Boulder area. Featuring over 30 comics, four venues and seven shows, there is something for everyone. Tickets are available at bouldercomedyfestival.com.

Bike & Walk To Work Day
June 26
Breakfast stations in and around Boulder will serve free food and drink to an estimated 7,000 participants riding or walking to work from 6:30–9am. Join the fun with your fellow bicyclists and please encourage others to join in! 

Boulder Pride Festival & Motorcade
June 30

The Boulder Pride Festival is Boulder’s annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ and allied community. All members of the Boulder community who identify on the LGBTQ+ spectrum and their allies are welcome to join the festivities. The festival will include exhibitors from local organizations and businesses, food trucks and a full stage program in the Boulder Bandshell with a variety of performances. It is free and open to the public.

“UndocuAmerica: Reclaiming Our Presence”
May 10–July 14

Motus Theater’s “UndocuAmerica: Reclaiming Our Presence” Boulder visual art exhibition invites visitors to engage with art that centers undocumented community members’ stories through a wide variety of mediums including photography, illustrations, films and animations. At a time when people who are undocumented are often demonized as “other” for political gain, the art in this exhibit invites us to look past our differences and find our shared humanity. Regardless of individual beliefs about immigration policy, this project allows visitors to learn more about the impact of these policies on the lives of undocumented families. Dairy Arts Center. 

Colorado Music Festival
July 5–Aug. 4

Under the guidance of renowned conductor Peter Oundjian, the Festival fills the summer with uplifting evenings in Boulder’s historic, all-wood Chautauqua Auditorium. 2024 Festival highlights include the return of violinist Augustin Hadelich, pianist Olga Kern and pianists Christina and Michelle Naughton; the world premiere of a new symphony by Gabriela Lena Frank; a celebration of Bruckner’s 200th birthday; and more, all with the help of the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra and some of the world’s most accomplished soloists. Performance times vary by date.

Boulder Environmental/Nature/Outdoors Film Festival
July 11–14

Featuring the best narrative, documentary features and short films from around the globe with screenings at Dairy Arts Center’s Boedecker Cinema and Gordon Gamm Theater.

Erie Hot Air Balloon Launches
July 12, 13 & 14

Join us for the Erie Hot Air Balloon Festival; it’s magical. The Rocky Mountains are clearly visible in the distance as the sky comes alive with all the colors of the rainbow. Balloons launch at 6am each morning, weather permitting. No pets allowed on the launch field. 

Pearl Street Arts Fest
July 19–21

From whimsical and modern sculptures to traditional watercolors, oils and more, Pearl Street Arts Fest is a beautiful outdoor gallery nestled in the heart of downtown Boulder on the renowned Pearl Street Mall.
