National Night Out at Garden Acres Park
Aug. 5
Join neighborhoods across Longmont for National Night Out, a nationwide evening dedicated to building stronger community connections and partnerships with local police. From 6–9 p.m., residents are encouraged to turn on their porch lights, step outside and connect with neighbors. Expect block parties, cookouts, youth activities, flashlight walks and more as neighborhoods come together to take a stand against crime. Boulder County Fair
Aug. 6–10
Celebrate 156 years of agricultural heritage, community tradition and summer fun at Colorado’s oldest fair. The Boulder County Fair is free to attend with no parking or gate admission fees, making it easy to drop by for carnival rides, live music, open class exhibits, fair food, a petting zoo and more. Daily hours 10 a.m.–11 p.m. Don’t miss the kick-off parade on Aug. 2 at 10 a.m.bouldercountyfair.org
Morning Yoga at Chautauqua
Wednesdays in August and September
Begin your morning with a gentle, all-levels yoga class in the peaceful Enchanted Mesa Garden at Chautauqua. Led by Shanti Medina, this weekly outdoor practice offers a chance to connect with nature while tuning into breath and movement. 26th Annual Lafayette Peach Festival
Aug. 16
Celebrate the summer harvest with over 30,000 pounds of juicy Palisade peaches at the 26th Annual Lafayette Peach Festival. Enjoy fresh peach pies, cobbler and hand pies, plus live music, kids’ activities, and a curated selection of food vendors, crafters and artists from across the Front Range. Jaipur Literature Festival Colorado
Sept. 12–13
The world-renowned Jaipur Literature Festival returns to the Boulder Public Library for its 11th Colorado edition. Celebrate global literature, arts and ideas with two days of conversations, readings and performances featuring international and local authors, thinkers and artists. Bending the Arc: 50 Years of LGBTQ+ History in Boulder
Now–Sept. 29 (Exhibit final day)
Visit the Museum of Boulder to experience “Bending the Arc,” an exhibit honoring the 50th anniversary of six same-sex marriage licenses issued in 1975. Through powerful storytelling and historical context, the exhibit reflects on the bold actions of community members and officials who advanced LGBTQ+ rights decades ahead of their time. Boulder Concert Band at Chautauqua

Meetup for Entrepreneurs & Startups

Connect with Boulder’s entrepreneurial community at this casual meet-and-greet designed to foster collaboration, support and idea-sharing. The event begins at the Downtown Boulder Library in the Boulder Creek Room, followed by a short walk to continue the conversation over food and drinks. Intro to Outdoor Climbing with Rope Wranglers

Try outdoor rock climbing in a relaxed, beginner-friendly setting—no gear or experience required. Led by an experienced guide, these free weekly meetups on Flagstaff Mountain are perfect for anyone new to climbing or looking to transition from gym to rock. Louisville Street Faire featuring Dumpstaphunk

Front Street lights up with live music, food, kids’ activities and community energy as the 25th annual Louisville Street Faire continues. Colorado Brazil Fest: Choro and Forró Dance Night
Aug. 8
Kick off Colorado Brazil Fest with a lively evening of music and dance at Junkyard Social Club. The Dexter Payne Quintet opens the night with Brazilian choro and forró instrumentals, followed by a dance-focused second set featuring styles from Brazil’s northeast including xote, baião and arrastapé. Vocalist Dandha da Hora and percussionist Carl Dixon join the band to bring the rhythms to life. Doors 7 p.m., show 8–11 p.m. All ages welcome. Tickets $25 advance, $30 at the door. Experience a powerful tribute to Neil Young and Bob Dylan as Rolling Harvest takes the stage at Roots Music Project. Labor Day Parade in Louisville
Sept. 1
Join the community for Louisville’s 89th annual Labor Day Parade, the city’s biggest event of the year. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the intersection of E. Jean Dawson at the Fox Theatre

Pearl Street Stampedes

This long-running tradition brings CU spirit to the Pearl Street Mall the night before home football games. The Golden Buffalo Marching Band, CU athletes, spirit squad and coaches make their way through downtown, performing on each block and gathering support from the community. A Singular Feast by Blue Sky Bridge

Street Wise Mural Festival

Street Wise Arts returns with a citywide showcase of new public murals that blend art and activism. Boulderthon
Sept. 28
Boulder’s signature fall race returns for its fifth year, bringing thousands of runners from around the world to the base of the Flatirons. Boulderthon features a scenic course that starts and ends downtown, with stretches through Boulder’s peaceful back roads and a finish on the iconic Pearl Street Mall.
