Boulder-based Cocktail Caravan delivers right to your doorstep
story Amanda Lacey

You’ve seen the boutique mobile bars in action (or maybe even hired one for an event of your own) but did you know the service doesn’t have to stop after the party? Mobile bars have gained immense popularity in recent years and now woman-owned Cocktail Caravan is taking it a step even further by bringing it directly to your doorstep.
Crystal Sagan, founder and chief relationship builder, and her team have been creating experiences for clients over the past ten years. Serving all of Colorado, including the Denver-metro area and Mountain West, Cocktail Caravan has done it all—from private events to weddings and corporate events—bringing unique and custom elevated cocktail experiences with meaningful connections. “That’s really what hospitality is all about for me at the end of the day—listening and observing—and then using that information to create something that makes someone feel cared for,” Crystal says.
Cocktail Caravan’s vibrant specialty cocktails, beautiful bars, and engaging staff make them the highlight at every event. Offering curated cocktails, beautiful bar setups, and impeccable hospitality from full-service beverage programs to signature cocktails crafted on-site, they create unforgettable moments tailored to your event. No pre-set packages here and the 100-percent custom-designed packages allow you to focus on the aspects that are most important to you.
One thing about Cocktail Caravan that you can’t miss is Lolita, the vintage caravan converted into a bar. She’s a 1960’s canned ham style trailer, and likely Colorado’s first mobile bar dating back to 2016. Having been all around Colorado on some amazing adventures, guests have fallen just as much in love with her as the Cocktail Caravan team has. The cherry on top? There’s a small seating area inside that can sit 2-3 guests. “At a recent event we set up the VIP area as we like to call it as a speakeasy and had a secret, unadvertised mini cocktail you could only enjoy if you were seated in there. Guests went wild for it, and it was such a great experience,” Crystal shares.
Serving its unique brand of fresh-pressed cocktails and mocktails, Cocktail Caravan literally brings the customizable punch to any party. And now? Customers can order small bottles online (that make five to eight drinks) for local pickup or delivery or you can find them at the Boulder Farmers Market come spring. Last year, they started offering bulk orders, as well, for clients who want more of a do-it-yourself approach to the bar for their event, or even at a venue with its own bar program. With their bulk program, clients can bring fresh-pressed mixers and have the in-house team serve them, which is an easy win-win for everybody.
Did we mention mocktails (non-alcoholic options) being at the forefront? Ten years ago, it was rare to find mocktail options, but now mocktails on menus have grown exponentially, and nearly half of Cocktail Caravan’s menus will feature them. To add to that, they’re also leaning into the zero-proof cocktails side of things (think a zero-proof cocktail being mixed with non-alcoholic spirits, offering a much more complex and sophisticated adult experience).
So, let’s talk about the straight-to-your-door (or pickup) membership options. Choose from two, three, or four bottles a month, and each month you’ll also get a small jar of a house-made dehydrated citrus garnish. Orders can be picked up in Boulder or Denver, or they can be delivered anywhere from Lyons and Longmont down to Golden and throughout Boulder and Denver areas. Pricing is significantly discounted through the membership.
Menus rotate seasonally, depending on what’s fresh and what works at the time of year. Most regulars are into Good Vibes Only (cucumber, lavender, lemon) while varieties range from the Pleaser (bright orange in color from carrots, pineapple, red chile) to Rhubarb’s Return (rhubarb, strawberry, cardamom).
And who doesn’t love a local business with a good cause. Crystal recently started Shop Small Boulder, a hub for connecting shoppers with deals from local businesses who’ve pledged to support local food banks. Additionally, they’re proud members of 1% for the Planet, donating 1% annual revenue to support environmental and community initiatives.
Orders can be placed for local pickup and delivery online and be sure to keep your eye out for Cocktail Caravan at the farmers market.
