Art Parts Finds A New Home for Rescued Art Supplies

08 Jan 2022

Art Parts Creative Reuse Center has been a hidden gem in Boulder since 2015 when they first opened their doors on Bluff Street. The nonprofit accepts donations of unwanted or surplus art and craft supplies and sells them at steeply discounted prices to help enable creativity in our community. With their recent move to a new retail space at 3080 Valmont Road, Art Parts has grown into an even larger gem that aims to be less hidden.

Executive director Megan Moriarty says, “We were looking for a bigger, more visible location and we found the perfect space on Valmont. The former tenant, Verlo Mattress, left some interesting built-in fixtures and we have repurposed them for our needs.” For example, a leftover headboard now supports a wall of thread in a rainbow of colors—the creative reuse spirit is clearly alive and well in this new location.
