80th Anniversary Celebration at the Museum of Boulder
Oct. 5

Walk through 80 years of Boulder’s history in the grand opening of our anniversary exhibit. Meet historical figures such as Martha Maxwell, A.A. “Gov” Paddock, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg and Professor Phelyx. Arts in the Open Presents “Wicked Wanderings”

So many frightful things lurk amongst the trees – from wicked witches to frightful fairies – and what is a mere mortal to do when confronted with such evils? Boulder Saturday Farmers Market
Oct 1.–Nov. 16

Is it even the weekend if you didn’t stop by? The Boulder Saturday market is a community institution and one of the busiest, most vibrant farmers markets in the region. Here/There
Oct. 6

Here/There, near and far, past and future: don’t miss our season opening celebration and benefit as we kick off our 39th Season—CONTRASTS. Pearl Street Stampede
Oct. 11, 25 & Nov. 15

The Pearl Street Stampedes have become THE kickoff celebration for CU home football games for over a decade. The night before each home game, hundreds of Buffs fans line the Pearl Street Mall as members of the Golden Buffalo Marching Band plays to the crowds’ delight. Members of the CU football team and coaching staff are greeted with cheers and high fives from fans of all ages. The Stampedes are a joint collaboration between the University of Colorado, local businesses, the City of Boulder and Downtown Boulder. 7pm. boulderdowntown.com.

 

Day of the Dead Family Celebration
Oct. 12

This street festival will include music and dance performances, art and craft activities, cultural education, delicious food, downtown business altar and the Gigantes Procession. Park downtown or at the Longmont Museum and take the free shuttle between locations so you can enjoy all the exhibitions and activities of the day. CU Buffs Football

Wellness Week

Halloween Costume Party

This family-friendly celebration will be packed with fun arts activities, culminating in a festive costume parade at 1:15pm; parents and caregivers are encouraged to dress in costume too with a special prize for best adult costume. All proceeds benefit Education at the Dairy, including programs Kids at the Dairy field trips for Title 1 Schools and year-round workshops for artists of all ages and abilities. “Bewitching: Halloween Extravaganza” with Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra

Munchkin Masquerade

Noche de Museo: Celebrating Day of the Dead
Nov. 2

Join us for an evening of live performance in celebration of Día de Muertos that will span the ages, from ancient Aztecan dance to the genre-bending rock and roll of iZCALLi. This annual community celebration of a centuries-old Mexican tradition has quickly become part of the cultural fabric of Longmont. Morning Yoga at the Museum
Nov. 3 & 10

This is an all levels hatha and kriya yoga class. With the practice of hatha yoga we focus on working ourselves into a mind/body connection and purity. The emphasis on kriya yoga is to aid in relaxation while remaining aware of our experience(s). Dharana or ‘concentration’ methods and mudras (hand seals) will be introduced to assist in the management of the energy/sensations arising in and of the body; potentially generating various ‘states of mediation(s)’ within the practice(s). Switch on the Holidays
