Taste of Pearl
April 6

Woman’s Adventure Film Tour
April 13

This year’s film lineup showcases powerful stories of athletes and adventurers navigating physical, emotional, and personal journeys. “Sliding” dives into the adrenaline-fueled world of skeleton sledding, while “Cycling the World” follows a woman’s 29,000-kilometer ride across five continents. “It Will Be Different For You” profiles Olympian Lea Davison’s mountain biking journey, and “Above Sinai” highlights kiteboarder Sarah Sadek’s defiance of cultural norms. “Drawn In” blends art and adventure through Jessa Gilbert’s exploration of glaciated terrain and painting, capturing the shared spirit of creativity and the wild. Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival
April 27

Spring officially arrives in Downtown Boulder when the beautiful, colorful Tulip Fairy, along with pint-sized fairies and elves, parade around the Pearl Street Mall “waking up the tulips.” This much beloved springtime tradition features live performances, special activities for children and more than 15,000 tulips that adorn the world-renowned Pearl Street Mall. The festival is from 1–5 p.m., and a rain date is scheduled for May 4. boulderdowntown.com

Firefly Handmade Boulder Spring Market
May 17 & 18

Enjoy a curated collection of 90+ artists, makers, and designers offering unique creations perfect for seasonal gifting. Celebrate with live music, local food and drinks, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere—admission is free! Explore 16 categories of handmade goods while supporting local talent. Artisans, volunteers, and musicians are encouraged to get involved. Don’t miss this vibrant community event celebrating creativity, connection, and springtime in Boulder! BOLDERBoulder
May 26

Join the 45th running of Colorado’s biggest and boldest Memorial Day tradition. Dubbed “America’s all-time best 10K.” There is a lot more to the day than just the 10K. It’s part run, walk, parade, costume party, professional race, expo, and it ends with the largest Memorial Day Tribute in the country inside the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field. April 4–12

Legacy of Lesbian Activism
April 7

This free event from 6–8 p.m., open to Museum of Boulder members and SNAP EBT cardholders, honors the vital role of lesbians in advancing LGBTQ+ rights, visibility, and community. A panel of trailblazing women will share their stories of activism through art, education, and advocacy. Panelists include Glenda Russell, Sue Coffee, Louise Knapp, Susan Pringle, and Karen Raforth—each of whom has significantly shaped Boulder’s LGBTQ+ history through music, literature, public health, community organizing, and institutional change. A Magnum Opus: Bach’s B Minor Mass

The Longmont Symphony Orchestra Presents presents “A Magnum Opus: Bach’s B Minor Mass” featuring the Boulder Chorale at the Vance Brand Civic Auditorium at Skyline High School. This rare performance showcases the grandeur and beauty of one of Bach’s most celebrated choral works. With full orchestra, choir, and soloists, the concert highlights the rich counterpoint, emotional depth, and spiritual power of this Baroque masterpiece. Fondue Date Night
April 16, May 21

Spend your Wednesdays at Kuper Wine Bar in Longmont for date night and enjoy a cheese fondue platter with a pre-selected bottle of wine for $75. The selection of wine will include a red, white or sparkling and will vary from week to week. You have the option to upgrade to your favorite bottle for an additional fee. $75 is for 2 people and includes a fondue platter and bottle of wine. The Humanize Podcast: Live Recording
April 17

Experience “The Humanize Podcast” live on stage for the first time! Co-hosts Courthney Russell and Emily Braucher dive into honest, challenging conversations on race, equity, and social justice. This event features guest DaWon Baker discussing DEI in university athletics. Part of the “Amplifying Black Culture in Boulder” series, the evening aims to explore and celebrate cultural evolution in the community. KGNU Presents Tyler Grant: Album Release Show
April 18

Join award-winning guitarist Tyler Grant at eTown from 7–9:30 p.m. as he celebrates the release of Flatpicker, his seventh solo album, out March 2025 on Grant Central Records. Blending Bluegrass, Americana, and the spirit of the wild, the album reflects Tyler’s life as a musician, river guide, and outdoor adventurer. Derby Day Party at St Julien

Join St Julien for its annual Run for the Roses Kentucky Derby Day Party on Saturday, May 3. Operation Water Festival
May 12

Boulder Valley School District fourth and fifth graders are invited to participate in a day filled with educational and interactive water presentations. At the all-day festival, students will discover how drinking water is treated, learn how to protect and conserve our water, experience the history, geology, geography and science of water and encounter the diverse plants and animals that rely on this precious resource to survive. The event takes place at the University of Colorado Boulder University Memorial Center from 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Proclaiming Colorado’s Black History Guided Tours with Adrian Miller
May 17

Explore the rich history of Black Coloradans from 1840 to today in a guided tour from 11 a.m. to noon led by Adrian Miller, Co-Project Director and Lead Curator of Proclaiming Colorado’s Black History at the Museum of Boulder. A James Beard Award-winning author and renowned soul food historian, Miller brings history to life through a Black American perspective. A former advisor to President Clinton and Colorado Governor Ritter, Miller is also executive director of the Colorado Council of Churches and a celebrated author of three acclaimed books on African American culinary and cultural history. museumofboulder.org

Free Kids Rides on the Tebo Train
May 27–August 29

Children ages 10 and under (along with accompanying adults) will chug along Pearl Street in this one-of-a-kind experience. The Summer Tebo Train boards in front of the Capital One Cafe at the corner of 13th and Pearl. The rides start at 9:30 a.m. Monday–Friday*. The last train leaves the station at 11 a.m. SHARP. *Please Note: No train rides on June 11 or July 18. boulderdowntown.com

Movie Night: Days of Heaven (1978) Terrence Malick
May 29

Head to Boulder Public Library’s Canyon Gallery & Theater for a fun, interactive movie night featuring live music or a DJ, followed by a brief film intro and group discussion throughout the screening. Enjoy games and trivia at intermission! The featured film follows a fiery farmhand who persuades his lover to marry their wealthy, dying boss for his fortune.
