With his toothy smile, tanned features and trim physique, John McMahon looks like a person who enjoys the outdoors. And he does. McMahon has “a passion for everything outdoors,” says Will Pereira, president of the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado. That’s one reason why the ALCC hired McMahon in March to be its new executive director.
McMahon’s former positions at the National Ski Patrol, Breckenridge Tourism Office, Loveland Ski Area, Vail Resorts, California State Parks and the Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau all fed his love of the outdoors and fueled his expertise in budget planning and management practices.
Now McMahon brings those skills to the ALCC, a statewide association with more than 600 member businesses. McMahon says he’s excited to help the ALCC “advance the wonderful work already put in place.”
