If you play tennis or pickleball along the Front Range, chances are you’ve spent time inside Game-Set-Match. For more than three decades, the locally owned shop has quietly become one of the region’s central hubs for racquet sports.

This family-owned and operated business was originally established in Greenwood Village. Owner Adam Burbary started the business stringing racquets for local tennis players. The company quickly established momentum through both teaching and the retail business. After small beginnings, the business expanded throughout the Denver metro area and then into Boulder. Now with three stores in Colorado and two in Nevada, GSM also has an online store that anyone throughout the country can access.

What began as a tennis retail shop has expanded to include racquetball, squash, badminton, and table tennis gear. And now with the recent explosion of pickleball, you’ll notice tennis and pickleball merchandise being offered equally. The team at GSM is primarily comprised of tennis and racquet sports enthusiasts, so not only are you in the hands of kindred spirits, but you can also anticipate expert advice and great customer service.

With a guarantee of a 24-hour turnaround on racquet stringing (same-day availability when possible) and the largest selection of racquet gear in the intermountain region, GSM also offers a few notable programs. One being its demo program. If you’ve had your eye on the latest, greatest paddle or racquet, GSM encourages you to pop into a store to check out up to three at a time at a fraction of the price for five days. When you find the one you love, your initial investment will be directly applied to your future purchase.

At the heart of the tennis and pickleball communities, GSM proudly partners with organizations in Colorado and Las Vegas to sponsor local tennis and pickleball tournaments and events—having donated more than $1 million in racquet sports gear and monetary donations to local community groups.

Did we mention the new, bigger and better Boulder location on Baseline Road?

Jessica Ouwerkerk, marketing director, has seen both new offerings entering the store and the broader BoCo racquet sports community. Anticipate falling in love with padel and typti and continuing to love pickleball. With that said, you’ll notice more facilities popping up all over town—think Smash Padel and Relish Pickleball—to meet the growing demands of the community. And don’t fret, tennis court proposals are underway as more outside courts are still very much in demand.
