One of the best aspects of living in Colorado is the beautiful, sunny weather that allows us to be outside much of the year. Never have we appreciated this more than during the pandemic, when the safest way to socialize has been outdoors in the fresh air. Here are a few patio furniture ideas to modernize your outdoor spaces by imbuing them with fresh colors and designs.

Candy-Colored Cool

POLaRT’s environmentally friendly, neo-baroque furniture (photo above) features super-durable upholstery that easily withstands harsh climes, and is resistant to both rain and sun. Their whimsical collection of chairs, barstools, tables, sofas and more is completely customizable and available in assorted candy-colored solids that you can mix and match. Available at Fruehauf’s in Westminster.

Stone Age Living

Modern, vibrant Pebble chairs and tables mimic stones and add a natural, albeit modern, element to outdoor decór.

Pair them with On the Move side tables from Cane-Line that are lightweight and sport a handle that allows you to easily transform each table into a serving tray to accommodate guests’ needs. Both are available at Denver’s Creative Living.

Streamlined Silhouettes

Patio furniture is available in all kinds of bright, easy-to-maintain materials that can give your garden extra color pops. Loll Designs makes dining and lounge sets from recycled plastics, mostly single-use milk jugs. Durable and comfortable, their furniture puts a twist on outdoor classics like Adirondack chairs, modernizing them with streamlined silhouettes and bright hues. The company’s lollygagger bar cart is perfect for preparing springtime cocktails. Available at Denver’s Creative Living.

Sit a Spell

Lloyd Flanders’ all-seasons settee swing, available at Longmont’s Woodley’s Fine Furniture, is another inviting option for outdoor leisure. With a comfortable padded seat and classic wicker that drains moisture quickly, the swing is the perfect place to while away an afternoon with a friend. The swing is also available with fabric cushions in lieu of padding.

Surprising Comfort

Maui leisure chairs by KANNOA are ergonomically designed and surprisingly comfortable. The footstools cleverly fit beneath the chairs when not in use, and the all-weather material features clean lines. The chairs are available in a wide range of brightly colored woven polymer wickers at Denver’s Creative Living.

Two’s Company

Eagle Nest Outfitter’s Fuse Tandem Hammock System enables you to relax with a friend in a two-hammock setup that uses only two anchor points. Lightweight and super affordable, ENO’s dual hammocks come in a multitude of solid and playful patterns, and are easily hung from a tree or a post.

Nighttime Is the Right Time

If you intend to enjoy the outdoors at night, Uttermost’s outdoor pendant lights will bathe you in beautiful shadows cast by stylized steel shades with art deco and palm leaf designs. The lights are available at Longmont’s Woodley’s Fine Furniture.

Or bring out the versatile Uma Sound Lantern from Pablo Designs that offers both light and music for evening enjoyment. Available at Design Within Reach in Denver.

Get Wired

Bend Goods offers a collection of indoor/outdoor furniture that features intricate, geometric wire patterns. The functional-artwork furniture has both metallic and rainbow-colored finishes in an array of mind-boggling designs that are as visually appealing as they are comfortable. Available at Denver’s Creative Living.
