People interested in green building were treated to a delightful Boulder Green Home Tour on Sept. 24. Featured homes included tiny, Net Zero, co-housing, shipping-container and passive-solar homes, among many others. Participants saw various sustainable features, like ground-source heat pumps, photovoltaic systems, nontoxic, renewable and recycled materials, water-conserving plumbing and landscaping, alternative insulation, innovative window technologies, and more.

They also received educational materials about cutting-edge green technologies from the more than 100 local businesses that helped design and build the homes. The tour ended with a celebratory after-party at The Roadhouse Boulder Depot in Boulder Junction, and 10 percent of tour proceeds will benefit Flatirons Habitat for Humanity projects.
