Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center treats more than 3,000 animals annually
Boulder County is pretty wild about wildlife, so it was gratifying to see the Sept. 30 Wild Night for Wildlife gala raise more than $115,000 for orphaned and injured wildlife at the Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center near Lyons.
Around 250 attendees enjoyed beverages, gourmet sweets, a buffet dinner, and silent and live auctions. But the real star of the night was Tinkerbell, an injured Canada goose that touched the hearts of the volunteers who cared for her.
“We are so lucky, not only to live and work in such a beautiful place, but also to be part of a community that cares so deeply about what happens to its wild neighbors,” says executive director Linda Tyler. Greenwood treats more than 3,000 animals annually, and it couldn’t survive without the community’s support, she says. So the center is wild about you as well! Visit www.greenwoodwildlife.org.
