Want to find fun stuff to do in Longmont? Just pick up the newest copy of Visit Longmont—THE guide for all things Longmont! You’ll get great ideas for ways to spend a whole day in the city—with or without the kids—and you’ll find oodles of don’t-miss events, places to play, cultural happenings, a treasure-hunt map, and spots to dine and sip on fabulous craft brews. You’ll also discover interesting facts, like when Longmont native Vance Brand flew on NASA’s Apollo-Soyuz mission and when James Cash (aka J.C.) Penney opened his very first store in Longmont.
The March 13 launch party of the official Visit Longmont 2017 was at the new St. Vrain Cidery in downtown Longmont, and everyone who helped make the guide a success—photographers, advertisers, editors, business owners and community leaders—attended. The newest issue “is our best yet,” says Erin Helzer, marketing and sales coordinator for Visit Longmont. “We’re excited to feature an all-new travel checklist and a family-friendly scavenger hunt, along with a wide array of activities, events and businesses in our community.”
The free guide is available throughout the city, including at the Visit Longmont offices at 512 Fourth Ave. Visit www.visitlongmont.org to see a digital version of the guide and to browse the calendar of daily events. Helzer reports that this year’s guide will also be available at DIA’s B and C concourses this summer for the first time.
