Rebecca’s Recommendations: Art on the Cheap

10 Feb 2016

Need some wall art but don’t want to pay a pretty penny? Head to the local thrift store or scout out garage sales to find a book of botanical illustrations. Carefully cut out any images you like using an X-Acto knife and pop them into simple, inexpensive frames. Even if you have to buy a mat to have the image fill the frame, you’ll pay next to nothing for highly detailed artwork. Botanical prints are surprisingly versatile, thanks to their colors and sophisticated lines, and blend well with virtually any décor, from the kitchen to the bath to the bedroom and beyond.
